This interactive session is held in celebration of the launch of the book “Archiving the Now” 2, with the participation of a group of writers, photographers, and artists who contributed to documenting unique moments from the region’s most prominent global event, Expo 2020 Dubai. During this session, we will celebrate the stories of archiving and visual and written documentation gathered in the book, and engage in a rich discussion on the concept of “Archiving the Present,” exploring how it has become an artistic and humanitarian tool for documenting the details of daily life. After the session, there will be a special meeting where photographers will meet with Fujifilm, where the latest portable and easy-to-use cameras will be showcased. These cameras reflect the philosophy of archiving as a practice available to everyone, not just professionals. Fujifilm will also provide experimental cameras for participants to enhance the concept of community documentation.

تُعقد هذه الجلسة التفاعلية احتفاءً بإطلاق كتاب “أرشفة الحاضر” 2 ، بمشاركة مجموعة من الكتّاب والمصورين والفنانين الذين ساهموا في توثيق لحظات فريدة من الحدث العالمي الأبرز في المنطقة، إكسبو 2020 دبي. حيث نحتفي خلال هذه الجلسة بقصص الأرشفة والتوثيق البصرية والنصّية التي جمعها الكتاب، كما سنتناول في حوار ثري فكرة “أرشفة الحاضر”، وكيف أصبحت أداة فنية وإنسانية لتوثيق تفاصيل الحياة اليومية. بعد الجلسة، سيكون هناك لقاء خاص يجمع المصورين مع شركة فوجي فيلم، حيث سيتم استعراض أحدث كاميراتها المحمولة وسهلة الاستخدام، والتي تعكس فلسفة الأرشفة كممارسة متاحة للجميع، لا للمحترفين فقط. كما ستوفر فوجي فيلم كاميرات تجريبية للمشاركين، وذلك لتعزز مفهوم التوثيق المجتمعي.
