INSURTECH Cohort for May 2025
Dubai, UAE – May 20, 2025 – MENA InsureLab, the region’s leading InsurTech accelerator
and venture builder, has officially launched its UAE Chapter, with the first INSURTECH cohort
scheduled for May 2025. The program will deploy $1.2 million USD across four cohorts,
targeting 100 specialised startups focused on revolutionising insurance through advanced
technologies.
This milestone marks a major leap in building a robust, scalable, and tech-driven insurance
ecosystem across the Middle East and North Africa. Startups selected will gain access to
capital, structured acceleration, strategic mentorship, and a launchpad into the region’s
insurance markets.

MENA,” said Ms. Aicha Ghaffari, Global Director of MENA InsureLab. “With the UAE Chapter,
we are unlocking a new generation of founders who will reshape insurance with purpose,
speed, and scale.”
The UAE Chapter is spearheaded by Dr. Hisham Safadi, founder of Click2Secure, whose
leadership brings operational experience and strategic vision to the initiative.
MENA InsureLab has partnered with the Umm Al Quwain Free Trade Zone (UAQFTZ) and
SOUL Incubator, offering a regulatory-ready environment and full infrastructure support.
