Dubai, October 2025 — Demonstrating its ongoing commitment to Africa’s energy growth, Dubai-headquartered APUS Energy participated as a Silver Sponsor at Africa Energy Week (AEW) 2025 in Cape Town. The event gathered leaders from across the continent to advance dialogue on sustainable growth, investment, and collaboration in the oil and gas sector.
The APUS Energy delegation, headed by CEO Eyas Alhomouz and CFO Anton Gedroyts, engaged extensively with government and industry representatives, underscoring the company’s dedication to technical excellence, strong partnerships, and responsible project execution.
During the conference, the company co-hosted a strategic session titled “High Impact Drilling: The Revival of Offshore Guinea-Bissau”, held jointly with Petroguin and AGR. The session featured Eyas Alhomouz, CEO of APUS Energy, and Celedonio Plácido Vieira, President of Petroguin, who shared insights from the country’s first deepwater campaign, successfully completed in 2024. The discussion was moderated by Andy Perchard, Managing Director / Country Manager Australia at AGR.
As part of its growth strategy, APUS Energy announced plans to start the process of bringing a new strategic partner into the Guinea-Bissau project within the next month, aligning with its vision for responsible and efficient development. This step aims to strengthen the project’s exploration program and prepare it for its next stage of evaluation.
The team also joined the Farm-Out Forum, engaging with potential partners and investors to explore opportunities for strategic collaboration and new investments.
